MathCue.Business Online” Program CD Information, First Time Registration, Adding the Class, Student Log-in, and Technical Support.

 

 

 

System Requirements

 

General:

·        Minimum screen resolution of 800x600 pixels

·        CD-ROM Drive

 

Windows:

Preferred Operating Systems: Windows 2000/XP/Vista (or later)

50 MB hard disk space

256 MB RAM

28.8 kpbs or faster Internet connection

Internet Explorer 6.0 (or later) or Firefox 2 (or later) with JavaScript and Java 1.6+ enabled, Flash 8 or later.

 

Java Note: 

The preferred Java version is Sun Java 1.6 9 (or later), and this is required if you have the Vista operating system.  When installing the software, the option to update Java is automatically provided if you have an older version.

 

 

MathCue Installation Instructions

 

1.  Insert your disk into your CD-ROM drive.

2.  Open the CD-ROM via My Computer or Windows Explorer.

3.  Double-click setup.exe.

4.  Follow the installation instructions. Installation will install a MathCue folder on your hard drive and a program shortcut on your Start / Programs menu.

 

 

 

 

Using “MathCue.Business Online” – First Time Registration, Adding the Specific Class, and Log-in for Testing.

 

Your instructor is using the Online Course Management system, you must access “MathCue.Business Online” in order for your scores to be recorded in your instructor's Grade Book.  Please note that the Class ID is required to access this feature.  Your instructor will supply your Class ID on his faculty web page.

 

First Time Registration for Students:

1. Launch the student version. Click Startà Programsà Contemporary Math, 5th ed à MathCue.

2. Click Log in to MathCue.Business Online Course Management

3. Click New on the login page.

4. Complete the registration form. (This is where you create your User ID and Password along with your student account.), then click Register.

5. Click Add a Class.

6. Enter the Class ID provided to you by your instructor. Click OK.

After you attempt to self-register onto the MathCue course website, please send me an email identifying yourself with your full name as a WNC enrolled student who is entitled to have access within the MathCue course web site. The email notice allows me to identify you and verify that you have successfully registered onto the MathCue website.  Do NOT move past this step onto “Start Working” until you have received a response back from me. 7. With your new class selected and registration verified, click Start Working.

 

Log In for Registered Student Users:

1. On the title screen, click Log in to MathCue.Business Online Course Management. (Otherwise you are offline where all the tests are only practice.)

2. Enter your User ID and Password.

3. When you’re ready to proceed, click Start Working.

If you are registered for more than one class, you can select the appropriate class from the provided list. You may also add or drop classes and edit your student information.

 

NOTE:  Detailed information about using “Log in to MathCue.Business Online Course Management” can be found in the Help section of the software.
