Welcome to my web site.  If you would like more details about
what I teach or have questions about majoring in psychology, please contact me.

I have been teaching at WNC for over 30 years, and the longer I teach, the more I believe in the power of learning.  Even when it does not come
easily, our lives are enriched by new insights and the pleasure of mastering a new idea or skill.  When people are committed to learning, they can reach their goals.

If you take a class from me, this is what you can expect:
  • Clear learning goals.
  • Courses equivalent to those taught at the best colleges in the U.S.
  • A variety of learning activities and experiences.
  • Fairness in measuring student learning.
This is what I expect from students in my classes:
  • A willingness to become a more efficient and effective learner.
  • Regular attendance and participation in class and online activities.
  • Completion of assignments, including studying for tests.
  • Commitment to academic integrity.
